Call for Papers: ISSD 2026 Conference

INSEAI invites you to participate in the XIIIth International Conference on Information Society and Sustainable Development (ISSD 2026), taking place May 15-16, 2026, in Târgu Jiu, Romania, in hybrid format (on-site and online). This forum brings together academics, professionals, and stakeholders to exchange ideas on sustainable development, digital economy, and inclusive policies.​

Key Event Details

Organized by Constantin Brâncuși University of Târgu Jiu in collaboration with AFER (Romania), Romanian-American University, and international partners, ISSD 2026 covers topics like sustainable economy, tourism, finance, labor informality, employment policies, and inequality (Session 4, aligned with INSEAI), applied statistics, and economic communication. All short papers will be published in Annals of the Constantin Brâncuși University of Târgu Jiu, Economy Series.​

  • Important Dates:

    • Short paper submission: April 26, 2026

    • Acceptance notification: April 29, 2026

    • Registration form and fee payment: May 6, 2026

  • Registration Fee: €60 (1 paper) / €75 (2 papers). Covers materials, lunch, gala dinner, and publication.

  • Language: English.

How to Participate?

Download the full Call for Papers for detailed topics and guidelines. Short papers (2-4 pages, max 2000 words) must use the template provided in the call.

Submission Steps:

  1. Complete the Registration Form, including name, institution, paper title, and chosen session.

  2. Scan and email the form with your short paper (.doc/.docx) to: issd2026.ucbgmail.com.

  3. Pay the fee after acceptance confirmation (bank details in the Call).

A prime opportunity to showcase research on informality and sustainable development! Top long papers may be published in indexed journals like Technological and Economic Development of Economy or Economies (Web of Science).​
