INSEAI Network launches INFORMAL TALKS

Published: 25.09.2025

The INSEAI Network presents INFORMAL TALKS, a new podcast dedicated to exploring informality and the policies that shape it in Europe and Latin America.

Through interviews and conversations with researchers and academics, the series aims to deepen understanding of this phenomenon, offering comparative and insightful perspectives from different contexts.

The project is produced and directed by a team from the Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM, Spain), made up of Nuria Laguna, Esther Alarcón, Javier Baquero, and Laura Vidal. It has also received technical support from the INSEAI Communication and Materials Support Group (led by Silvana Galeano, UBATEC, Argentina) and the INSEAI Social Media Group (led by Emma Ávila, DESH, Colombia).

In the first episode, the context of both the podcast and the INSEAI project is introduced. Afterwards, Esteban Nina and Jaime Ramírez, professors at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Colombia, join Santos Ruesga (UAM), General Coordinator of INSEAI, to discuss the differences that exist in the concept of informality between Europe and Latin America.

Upcoming episodes will feature in-depth thematic debates and contributions from specialists across the entire INSEAI network.

INFORMAL TALKS is now available on YouTube and Spotify
