Sociologist. Ph.D. in Sociology from the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (France). Master's degree in social sciences from the Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences (FLACSO), Mexico. Completed postdoctoral research at The New School University (USA). He teaches at the Faculty of Social Sciences (FACSO) at the National University of Asunción.
He is the editor of the Journal of Research in Social Sciences (REVICSO) and serves on the Board of Directors of the Center for Anthropological Studies at the Catholic University “Nuestra Señora de la Asunción.” He is also a member of the editorial boards of the Paraguayan Journal of Sociology and Estudios Paraguayos.
Founder and first President of the Paraguayan Sociological Association (APS), he served on the Executive Committee of the Latin American Council of Social Sciences (CLACSO) from 2015 to 2018. Active member of the Paraguayan Scientific Society, where he served on the Executive Committee as Secretary during the 2002–2024 term. He is a Level 3 Researcher in the National Researcher System (SISNI) and a member of the Honorary Scientific Committee of CONACYT for the social sciences and humanities (2023–2026).
