She has a bachelor's degree in Economics from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (1993), a master's degree in Industrial and Technology Economics from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (1997), and a doctorate in Economics from the Department of Economics at PUC-Rio (2006), with a 12-month doctoral internship at the École des Hautes Études de Sciences Sociales (EHESS-Paris). She has experience in the field of Economics, with an emphasis on Applied Economics, working mainly on the following topics: labor market, informal economy, education, social welfare, and urban mobility. She is affiliated with the Center for Studies on Inequality and Development (CEDE) and to the Society of Family and Gender Economics (GEFAM).
